Hewlett-Packard, also referred to as HP, is an American information technology that began in 1939. HP manufactures and designs software and hardware for computing, data storage, and networking as well as personal computing devices such as PCs and laptops, and a range of printers.

A laser printer uses a drum that an image is drawn on to using electrical charges. The drum is then coated in toners which sticks to the charged image or text that is on the drum. As you run the paper through, the toner is transferred to the paper. This method is less likely to smudge or smear due to the electrical charges.

A printer that's wireless will have Wi-Fi capabilities and the ability to network with other mobile and desktop devices. However, there are other features that a wireless printing setup might have.

• Touch-screen or LED menu: A digital display allows users to select menu choices directly from the printer using buttons or the screen itself.
• Direct photo transfer: This software enables you to send items to the printer straight from your camera or iPhone using wireless technology.
• Memory card reader: You can print photos directly from the memory card by inserting it into the card reader.

AirPrint is a printing technology developed by Apple and often used by HP for wireless printing purposes. AirPrint printers use your wireless connection and network to print items directly from your iPhone or other Apple devices without installing drivers. Many HP printers are compatible with AirPrint and provide customers with an additional wireless method of printing.
