When you are running low on data, a top-up card is a quick way to add funds to your account. The card contains a PIN number hidden underneath a metallic strip. You scratch off the metallic area to reveal the PIN number, and once you've followed through with the necessary process, you can immediately make calls and send messages.
Is there a difference between a top up and recharge?When you top up or refill a card, you are replenishing a prepaid mobile account by paying in advance for calls, texts, and so forth. Recharge is used in the same context as a top up to refill a mobile account.

What can the cards be used for with Virgin Mobile?By adding funds to your account, you can use cards as credit for several plan options and features, some of which are described here:
- Monthly phone service, which includes talk, text, and data
- Data packs, which can be purchased to add more high-speed data if you do not have an unlimited plan and you run out before your plan restarts
- Daily or monthly use of your phone as a mobile hot spot
- International calling
You can purchase cards in denominations such as $10, $35, $45, $55 or with an amount you choose between $5 and $200. For the pay-as-you-go plans, if you are adding a card to your account, the amount must at least be $10 for one transaction. You can use a top-up card as and when you need to as the cards do not expire.
Can you use a card for Assurance Wireless phones?Assurance is part of the government free phone benefit program that is supported by Virgin Mobile. You get an allotment of minutes, unlimited texts, and a limited amount of data with the free service each month. Users have the option to upgrade their service or add funds by using a Virgin Mobile card.
